District Secretary
Hey Key Clubbers! I'm Ryann Dolezal, your new District Secretary for the 2010-2011 Key Club year. A little background on me, I am currently seventeen and a junior at Skyview in Billings. I tagged along with a friend to my first Key Club meeting during my freshman year. I'm really glad that friend did drag me along, because it's one of the best experiences of high school for me and I know it’ll only get better this year! I became an official member at the beginning of my sophomore year. And later that year, I attended my first district convention. There I ran for and got elected as Lieutenant Governor of Division Four. I gained a lot from my experience as a Lt Gov. I really feel that it has given me the tools nessecary to be a good district secretary. As well as being involved in Key Club, I am also in Thespian Troupe (in case you don’t know what that is-it’s kind of like Drama Club) and I am the co-captain of my debate team.
As this year’s secretary, I have three main objectives. Firstly, is just to keep up with the various demanding duties of secretary. I also want to help the governor with whatever she needs. A strong (and not too stressed out) governor is key to a strong district. And lastly, I would like to take my divisional from last year and spread it through the district. My divisional project was Share Our Strength which raises awareness and funds to fight hunger in the United States. If you’ve ever heard of the Great American Bake Sale that is the main fundraiser Share Our Strength does each year. I would LOVE to see as many clubs as possible get involved.
